On-grid solar power systems generate power using a solar power system and are directly connected to the utility power grid. These systems send excess power generated by the solar power system to the utility grid and consumers get compensated for the extra power fed back.
Many residential users are opting for an On-grid solar system as they get a chance to enjoy credit for the excess power their system produces and save on their electricity bills. You will always have power either from the solar system or from the grid. They do not have batteries.
Advantages of an On-Grid SPV System
Huge Reduction In Electricity Bills: Mainly due to Net-Metering.
Easy Maintenance: Since there are no batteries in an On-Grid system, the maintenance cost is drastically reduced.
Better ROI: Since there are no batteries, the cost of an On-Grid system is lower when compared to other sources of solar energy.
